History and Geography

History - Autumn 1 - World War Two 

This half term we focused all our History lessons on World War 2 and exploring what happened in this period of History. The children were compassionate and sympathetic of the situation that happened to the Jewish people and were so respectful when discussing tricky topics. We also visited the cenotaph in Hapton to look at the names of soldiers in our village who died in the war. We brought in real artefacts from home to explore together which made our learning come to life!

History - Autumn 2 - Ancient Greeks

This half term our History lessons have moved onto researching the Ancient Greeks and the way they lived their lives. We explored the different Gods, compared the olympics now and then, created a Greek god profile amongst many other things.
