This half term, we are looking at the science fiction novel The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. We have thought about what the Iron Man might be thinking or how he might be feeling. We questioned the Iron Man when he made a visit to our class. In Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation, we have been looking at how to use direct speech, fronted adverbials, adverbs and adjectives in our writing. We are also looking at spelling patterns in words and how to write sentences with correct punctuation. All this learning will culminate in us writing our own story based on a similar plot to that of The Iron Man. We will invite our parents and carers in to look at our amazing stories.
