Storytelling Competition

Children in classes 3 and 4 have been hard at work preparing to take part in a storytelling competiton held at Oswaldtwiste Civic Theatre this Thursday.

Initially, each class had to, as a group, write a short story and send it off to the organisers. The stories were then judged by a panel and we were pleased to find out that both of our classes had made the finals held at the theatre!

The organisers then sent out a title for a new piece which will be performed by each participating class from around Lancashire  - 'The adventures of Sir Elias Gigas'. The children were told a small amount of back story for Sir Elias, before writing a 10 minute piece to perform to a panel of judges. Both of our classes have written amazing stories about Sir Elias and are hard at work preparing for the performance.

We shall write again after the competition to let you all know how it went.
